Audiences of Riyadh Season, in its sixth edition in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, experienced an exceptional Lebanese night at Mohamed Abdo Arena – Emirates NBD, where love in all its forms—emotion, passion, nostalgia, romance, and pride—came together through the voices of “The Sun of Arabic Song” Najwa Karam and the distinguished artist Adam.
The concert quickly became a trending topic, held under the patronage of the General Entertainment Authority and organized and supervised by Rotana Music Group.
Musically, the evening delivered creativity beyond expectations, as confirmed by the large audience that filled the venue and those who followed the live broadcast on Rotana channels and other satellite networks. Artistically and media-wise, the event also answered many long-standing questions, addressed jointly by Najwa Karam and Mr. Salem Al Hendi, Chairman and CEO of Rotana Music Group. This took place after backstage photo sessions and a media and social media meeting prior to Najwa’s stage appearance, following Adam’s opening performance.
Media professionals were particularly intrigued to see Najwa Karam once again performing in her “Rotana home” at a major Riyadh Season concert, prompting questions about the current relationship between Rotana and the “Sun of Arabic Song.” Najwa decisively clarified, stating:
“I doubt there has ever been a Rotana project where I wasn’t present. We are one. Since the beginning of my career, I have been with the Rotana logo that headlines my archive and body of work. Najwa Karam is Rotana, and Rotana is Najwa Karam.”
Commenting on her statement, Mr. Salem Al Hendi affirmed:
“Najwa is one of Rotana’s founders. She has always been, and will always remain with us, God willing.”
Najwa echoed his final words warmly in her signature voice.
Speaking about her song choices, Najwa explained:
“I search a little into the modern era while preserving the classics. My vision hasn’t changed—I must love the song in order to sing it, and its lyrics must convey joy. I love joy in songs; I don’t like sadness.”
On stage, Najwa illuminated the arena with her voice, elegance, beauty, and refined presence, igniting the audience with a selection of her classic and modern hits in a journey that awakened nostalgia and excitement among fans who have followed Rotana’s productions with its star daughter. Songs included ‘Amant Albi,’ ‘Hayda Haki,’ ‘Khallini Shoufak,’ ‘Hokm Al Qadi,’ ‘Yil‘an Abu Al Ishq’, among many others. She also performed her song “Shareek Albi” live for the first time, expressing her happiness with the love and interaction of the Riyadh audience, saying:
“All the love I put into what I do is just a drop in the ocean of your love for me.”
The audience’s enthusiasm was equally strong during Adam’s segment, marked by emotion and sensitivity. Prior to his performance, Adam posed for photos at the backdrop with Mr. Firas Khashman, Vice CEO of Rotana Music Group, and answered media questions. He opened his set with heartfelt words:
“Good evening, beautiful Riyadh. I’m happy to be with you at Riyadh Season for the third time. My thanks to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its people, and thank you to Rotana for bringing me together with you.”
He then delivered a moving performance that stirred emotions and celebrated love.
Backstage, the two stars of the evening also posed for commemorative photos with HONOR, Rotana’s strategic partner for the event and a global leader in AI-powered devices.
